The Sierra Leone Adult Education Association (SLADEA) organized one day workshop on financial management for branches chairperson at the Lettie Stuart Ceramic Centre, Campbell Town, Waterloo on the 17th January 2019.

The workshop came to light after a BftW consultant Andreas visited Sierra Leone to watch on the financial management of SLADEA early January 2019. After visiting the SLADEA Secretariat in Freetown and the Small Scale Project in Waterloo, the Executive Secretary of SLADEA, Bamike E. Williams taught it fit for the consultant to visit two branch so that he will have a firsthand information on how the branches operates.

After Andreas visited Mile 91 branch in the North and Bo branch in the Southern part of Sierra Leone, then it was agreed to call a one day workshop in Financial Management that will include all chairpersons.

The aim of the one day workshop is to find a way how SLADEA financial activities will be documented in a single account in which external auditors can audit the different branches and how to keep financial records for the future so that it will be easily accessible by the government and donors.
